About

My son and daughter got married within three weeks of each other two years ago. As a wedding present for both of them I wrote a cookery book.  The book mostly came from a folder that I had in my kitchen containing decades worth of recipes from magazines, newspapers, the internet, friends and family.  If the house was burning down it would have been one of the first things I would try to save and the one thing that my kids both want me to pass on to them one day. Other inspiration for the book came from wanting to pass on my (unwritten) experience of years of home cooking. I have started this blog to share the book more widely.  These recipes are for making great meals for family and friends using readily available and affordable ingredients in a domestic kitchen within a reasonable time.  I won’t post anything that hasn’t been tried, tested and enjoyed.  Given that all kitchens (and cooks) are different I can’t guarantee success every time but I am really hoping that Cupboard Love recipes work as well for you as they have for me.
